Crystorama Lighting a Popular Choice in One Room Challenge™
Top Designers Make Their Statements with Bold Lighting

Westbury, N.Y. - Crystorama Lighting - a leading source of decorative chandeliers, pendants and sconces - proved to be the light source of choice for many of the designers and bloggers participating in the recently concluded One Room Challenge™.

"It was pleasing to see several of the designers choose one of our chandeliers and design their rooms around it," said Nancy Lonoff, marketing director of Crystorama Lighting, winner of the 2015 ARTS Award for lighting fixtures. "We create our lighting fixtures to have that kind of impact - to be able to change or define a room or space."

Now in its ninth season, the One Room Challenge™ is a biannual design challenge organized by Linda Weinstein of Calling it Home, a leading do-it-yourself blog with more than 14,000 followers on Pinterest alone. Twice a year in April and October, Calling it Home challenges 20 top designers to transform a room and document the process in a series of six weekly online posts.

As a sponsor of the challenge, Crystorama made a wide range of its products available for designers to use. Five of the 20 challengers - Design Indulgence, Design Manifest, The English Room, Hi Sugarplum and Decor Happy - prominently featured the company's lights in their finished rooms, while a sixth designer, Christine Dovey, will follow suit once she completes her project.

Several of these designers documented their decision-making process on their blogs throughout the challenge, explaining why they chose to illuminate their new spaces with Crystorama Lighting products.

"I have always wanted this gorgeous Crystorama flush-mount fixture, but didn't think my budget would allow it. Thankfully, Crystorama came on as a sponsor, and I decided to upgrade at the last minute," said Naomi Stein, principal designer for Design Manifest, referring to the Broche Six Light Gold Ceiling Mount. "It makes me giddy every time I see it. It puts out surprisingly good light as well."

"We added additional overhead lighting with this aged brass drum pendant chandelier, and I'm already in love with the statement it makes in the room," said Hi Sugarplum's Cassie Freeman, a DIY blogger from Texas. "We went with the largest size so it would really stand out. I think it's exactly what the room needed to pull it all together and give it a center point."

"I had been admiring [Crystorama's] Broche One Light Gold Flush Mount for a while. I love the gold color and the design of it paired with an exposed bulb," said Decor Happy's Vanessa Francis of the lights she put in her bedroom entry and closet. For her main light, however, she chose Crystorama's Lawson Aged Brass Four Light Ceiling Mount Convertible, adding, "You can't go wrong with a drum shade - simple and classic."

"I couldn't be happier with this flush mount light fixture from Crystorama. It really gave the space a little bling," said interior designer Sherry Hart in her blog, Design Indulgence, referring to the Calypso 3 Light Crystal Teardrop Bronze Semi-Flush.
