Crystorama Lighting Stirs Strong Activity at Dallas Lighting Market
Retailers Applaud New Libby Langdon Lighting for Crystorama collections, Marketing Programs

Westbury, N.Y. - Armed with three new fashion-forward Libby Langdon Lighting for Crystorama collections lighting collections and a host of creative marketing initiatives, Crystorama Lighting enjoyed a strong International Lighting Market in Dallas.

Building on the enthusiastic response at retail to its initial Libby Langdon Lighting for Crystorama introductions, which began shipping late last year, the company added three new designs to the line at this summer's Dallas market, held June 24 to 27. They include the Westwood Collection, a classic Greek key design in polished nickel with unique geometric details and a drum-shaped shade in white silk; the Culver Collection, a classic arm-style chandelier that combines the bling of polished nickel with a softly elegant "shade within a shade" treatment; and the Graham Collection, a dynamic geometric design of interlocking circles in a hand-painted, antique silver finish with a fabric shade.

"We had a great reaction to all three new collections and wrote some good business during market," said Brad Kleinberg, president of Crystorama Lighting. "As usual, summer market was more lightly attended than the winter show, but we feel very encouraged about the level of activity we generated. Retailers are always on the lookout for fresh product, and they appreciated that we came to market with several exciting new designs to help them drive more business."

Langdon's keynote presentation at market also generated good buzz for Crystorama and its year-old Libby Langdon for Crystorama line.

"During her talk, Libby shared her insights on changing consumer lifestyles and furnishings needs, and she also provided a behind-the-scenes look at the fascinating world of makeover TV," said Kleinberg. He added that Langdon also was in the Crystorama Lighting showroom for several days during market meeting with retailers.

"Our retailers are very excited about the potential of this new line," said Kleinberg. "Libby's designs are functional, versatile and totally in tune with what today's consumers are looking for in fashionable lighting. With our latest collections, we're expanding the range of style choices to include a variety of exciting, on-trend designs that add new life to any room."

In addition to showcasing its three new collections, Crystorama Lighting also used the Dallas show to update its retailers on the new advertising and marketing campaigns it has launched during recent months. These programs include a heightened presence on leading social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and Houzz.

Between February and June 2015, Crystorama's Facebook "Likes" leapt from 2,758 to 10,432, a 278 percent increase, according to Kleinberg. During that same period, the company's Twitter followers grew from 268 to 1,046, a 290 percent gain.

This spring, the company also launched a new national print advertising campaign in three leading shelter publications - House Beautiful, Elle Décor and Veranda - with the theme of "Innovation. Imagination. Inspiration." The campaign features lifestyle imagery that stirs emotions by portraying the richness of everyday life and the sophisticated, upscale nature of the Crystorama Lighting brand.

"When all media outreach is tallied, from print ads to social media to editorial coverage, since January 2015 we have garnered roughly 25.5 million impressions for our brand," Kleinberg said.

During the Dallas market, the company also held a party in its showroom, where it celebrated two new awards presented to the company by Lighting One, the largest lighting and home décor cooperative in the U.S. and Canada. During the cooperative's annual convention held June 22-23 in Dallas, Lighting One presented Crystorama Lighting with its Supplier of the Year Award. In addition, the co-op also honored Crystorama Lighting founder Abe Kleinberg with its Lifetime Achievement Award.
